    Help & Troubleshooting

    • Click the page first if keys do not respond.
    • Some OS/browser shortcuts are reserved and cannot be captured.
    • F1-F12, Esc, and Print Screen are captured where the browser allows it. OS-level actions may still win.
    • On many Macs, top-row keys trigger media controls unless “Use F1, F2, etc. as standard function keys” is enabled.
    • The Fn key is often handled by macOS at system level and may not be detectable in browsers.
    • Mobile devices have limited keyboard testing support.
    • Physical legends may differ from the selected layout.

    FAQ

Why is a key detected but not highlighted?

The browser event may exist while the selected visual layout does not include that key code. Use the unmapped key note as a clue.

    Do held keys spam history?

No. Hold repeats are handled cleanly and without duplicate flooding.
